TMNT dude!

Framestore is fantastic. Plain and simple! I´ve been having a blast working there. People are super nice, jolly, and energetic.

The crew is absolutely outstanding and very inspiring. What can I say? It is a great place to work and improve your skills as an animator.

This weekend I saw TNMT flick. And you know what? I like it.

It was very refreshing to see something different done in CG. Yes, they are still talking animals BUT they are mutated talking animals. Heheh!

The story was well done, the pacing of the movie was good and the characters actually seemed alive. I mean… how deep can you go with TMNT?

The animation wasn´t that super polish smooth stuff that is almost mandatory in nowadays movies but the emotions came through and the fight scenes delivered. At least for me

:D

Well, check the movie and see for yourselves.

Personally, I rather have flicks like this being done than some “mocap-trying-to-look-real-thing”! But that is just me.

And now for something completely different.”

New life in Progress

Hello blog readers!

I would like to apologise for not posting anything here for a long time. Sorry about that.

I am already in London and as you may have figured out I have been very busy taking care of all that is needed to live here, yet I must say that everything is going well.

As soon as things settle down I’ll have more time for blogging and to meet some folks I have been talking with over the internet… Although I think when I start at my new job won’t have much free time.

:D

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for all the nice comments and emails.

cheers

Pencil tests

What do I look for whenever I need to feel inspired?

Dreamwork’s Shrek?… no

Pixar Animation? A little bit…

I like good old animation pencil tests. It may sound strange for some people as I am a CG animator, however, looking at that stuff is not just educational, it also reminds me of what I am trying to achieve with the computer.

Nowadays is pretty easy to find that stuff. Just search youtube and you’ll see.

Here are some videos that I found today:
